Our Foundation   The Perth and District Foundation was incorporated in 2001 and is governed by a community based board of directors.  Our service area includes the town of Perth and the western portion of Lanark County.   The Mission of The Perth and District Community Foundation is to work within the greater community in order to build a permanent fund to enrich our quality of life.   The Foundation has been established in order to provide a vehicle which will: ·         assist donors in making community focused philanthropic decisions ·         receive and invest endowments in permanent, professionally managed funds, supporting a broad range of community enrichment activities ·         be governed by a community appointed, volunteer, local board of directors ·         work in partnership with other charitable organizations ·         provide grants in response to our community's greatest needs, while managing and growing endowments for future generations ·         continue to work in close co-operation with similar foundations across Canada through our membership in Community Foundations of Canada.
